If you need extra help, or if there is an issue in trying to update, please reach out to me directly at mr.voluntary(at)gmail(dot)com and I will make sure your address is squared away for fulfillment if you contact me this week.
In the meantime, I would like to continue our special thanks to our generous ad sponsors, sponsors you should bookmark and check out as their work helped us take this issue to the next level!
We’ve raised nearly a third of goal, and we have a few weeks left to go.
It would mean the world to us if you jumped in, even at the $5 level, just so we can show you all the cool behind-the-scenes we’ll be doing with this music video shoot.
We’ll be in the heart of Washington D.C. shooting this one, so it’s going to be a fun time railing against the Federal inflation to their faces.
Our other note is that we’re hosting our first-ever comic book store tabling event!
We were fortunate enough to be invited to do a comic book store tabling at Wonder Water Sports Cards Comics & Games in Clearwater, Florida on Saturday, April 13th.
If you are close enough to the area, come on by and say, “Hi!” We’ll be signing and selling comics, shooting photos, and having conversations with whoever wants to learn more about Voluntaryist.
If you cannot make it, but know friends who might, feel free to share the event with them too!
The address is:
Wonder Water Sports Cards Comics & Games
29113 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33761
And we’ll be there from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. that Saturday April 13th.
Thank you so much again, everyone, for your continued support!
Excited to tell you more about fulfillment in our next update.
Hope you are doing well as we kick off the month of March!
I have WONDERFUL news to share with you.
We’ve already gotten in all the printed comics back from the printer.
This is the fastest we’ve ever turned around print comics on a campaign, so I am impressed at how far we’ve come on production speed!
That said, we also have another first because of this – it’s the first time we’re still having to wrap the bonus perk items because we did so well on the campaign!
We’re moving as fast as we can to finalize the last couple of bonus prints so we can get all of those to the printer.
Once those wrap, then we’ll be good-to-go on putting the perk packages together and shipping them out.
In the meantime, I’m just over here reeling with excitement, looking over the comic stacks as they all came out SO beautifully.
Truly, art to treasure.
Speaking of art to treasure, I wanted to thank some more sponsors whose art is worthy of praise!
The alternative rock group, Wonderbad, sounds like the spirit of Nirvana reimagined for the modern age.
If you’ve ever had a thing for Seattle Grunge, or just like the aesthetic of solid rock music generally, THIS IS A BAND TO PEEP.
I am not exaggerating when I say they sound like Kurt Cobain resurrected.
What’s even more intriguing is that this band’s lead singer is none other than the son of the Tuttle Twins!
Well, not literally of the fictional characters, but of the co-creator/illustrator Elijah Stanfield.
Wild, I know.
So not only is the Wonderbad team incredibly talented, the lead singer is the progeny of the legendary Tuttle Twins artist himself!
Even more reason to check them out and see the family’s talents in action.
P.S. We’re going to be launching our next music video campaign in the coming month. If you want to be notified of when it goes live, check out the pre-launch page over at: https://igg.me/at/endthefed and buckle up for what’s going to be an INCREDIBLE music video inspiring others to END THE FED.
Hope you are doing well as we kick off February, 2024!
Voluntaryist Suit Saga One has been moving along PERFECTLY.
Our funds were disbursed on time.
We got rolling right away on the bonus perks.
The interior pages have ALL been finished, and we’ve just sent them off to the printers!
Here’s a little sneak peek of page one’s pencil work:
And a sneak peek of a new character from the bonus perks, FIAT FERRET:
It all looks great, and it feels GREAT!
That said, I just want to remind you that if you know you will be moving in the coming months, please do update your shipping address on the campaign so we can make sure you get your perk package.
If need to contact me about it, you can also do that by reaching me at mr.voluntary(at)gmail.com
I want to make sure that you get your perks so all goes as smoothly as possible.
Now, one of the best parts of doing this comic series is getting to see the advertisements.
We have quite the lineup this round, and I want you to check out a new sponsor each update so you can enjoy all the unique Voluntaryist-oriented products, services, and artists we host in this special indie space!
Up first is a search engine created by a Voluntaryist man named Colin Pape: Presearch!
Presearch is incredible because it not only protects your privacy, defends your freedom, and earns you cryptocurrency rewards, but it also gives you the option to check other search engine results as well with one-click buttons should you ever not be satisfied.
That’s just how much they stand behind their product!
And it works quite well. I’ve used Presearch and have found their search engine preferable to more statist alternatives like DuckDuckGo.
So, if you’ve been looking for a search engine that’s not a part of the big tech censorship regime, give Preseach a try today at:
Remember that Origins floppies were not available on the Suit Saga One campaign, so it’s a great idea to pick them up and complete your Voluntaryist collection!
Voluntaryist Suit Saga One has closed with RECORD-BREAKING success.
I am FLOORED that we managed to unlock EVERY SINGLE LISTED STRETCH GOAL before close.
This is the most successful Voluntaryist single-issue comic campaign of ALL TIME with our reaching 220% of goal!
And, with record-breaking success, comes RECORD-BREAKING BONUSES.
Thanks to your generous support, each backer at the print comic tier and higher will be receiving 6 bonus perks in addition to your print perk pack.
This includes:
A bonus character turn sheet of a new Voluntaryist character, Leebertas.
A bonus character turn sheet of a new Statist character, Fiat Ferret.
A bonus die cut sticker of a new Voluntaryist character, Replevin.
A new Voluntaryist team art print.
A new Statist team art print.
A cover artwork teasing my new standalone series, Voluncap One Shot, the girl with the black and yellow costume and No Step on Snek tee you’ve seen Pho cosplay as.
As you can see, it’s going to be a STUFFED perk pack!
It’s my honor and pleasure to be a part of this Voluntaryist universe expansion process and I cannot wait to show you the results!
Now that the campaign has ended, we need to go over the production process timeline so you know what to expect and what you need to do, if anything.
First and foremost, if you will be moving in the next few months, you can update your address on the campaign, and I will receive that update so long as it’s updated a week before we do shipment.
Follow the instructions here if you end up needing to update your shipping address:
Second, if you’re an ADVERTISEMENT BACKER, please make sure that you get me your advertisement content by or before January 31st, 2024.
I sent out advertisement specs, templates, and information by email, and it looks like everything should be good-to-go otherwise for advertisers. If you have any questions or concerns lingering, feel free to reach me at mr.voluntary(at)gmail(dot)com.
As far as the production process is concerned, here’s what we’re currently looking at:
Indiegogo needs to release the funds for us to move forward. They can take up to 15 business days, but we’ve seen them typically process within 7.
Once we get those funds cleared, we’ll be able to work on getting our merchandise purchased and any bonus art items finalized.
We’re currently ahead of schedule on the comic’s production, so we should be able to move much faster than we have before. Most of what’s left is creating the bonus perks and getting them printed and shipped to us along with the comic merchandise and extras.
It will probably take 4-5 months to wrap up all of this if all goes well. I anticipate it should, so I imagine that we will be able to fulfill everything FAR AHEAD of our campaign estimated delivery date of December, 2024. If we’re agile, you’ll have everything by the end of spring, beginning of summer at the latest.
We will be making a monthly update on Indiegogo about our progress, so please make sure to check back at https://igg.me/at/suitsaga to see where we’re at in the process.
I will also post progress updates in parallel on the Voluntaryist Website here.
I try my best to be as responsive as possible to all questions, so if you have any questions or concerns, please always feel free to reach out to me at mr.voluntary(at)gmail(dot)com.
I’m looking forward to more good things as well, including some AMAZING projects we have coming up in 2024. So, stay tuned as we launch even more creative works next year!
Also, if you have not done so yet, check out the Voluntaryist Origins single issue remastered editions on Indyplanet.com. The single issues were not a part of this campaign, only the trade paperback. So, if you want to round out your Voluntaryist collection with those, you CAN with print-on-demand service at: https://www.indyplanet.com/?s=voluntaryist
Wishing you and yours peace and prosperity into this new year!
Suit Saga One is the first title in this heart-racing, action-packed arc exploring the Voluntaryist suit origins.
As you’ll see from this comic’s cover, new characters are also being introduced as the Voluntaryist universe continues to expand.
You’re not going to want to miss out, especially, with our new and improved Origins arc having just finished its remaster and 192-page trade paperback edition.
So don’t wait! Head on over to the Suit Saga One landing page here:
I hope you’re doing well as we prepare for a cooler October.
By now, everyone should have received their perks from the Voluntaryist Origins VI campaign.
If for any reason you have not, please contact me through Indiegogo or through my e-mail at mr.voluntary(at)gmail.com so I can track down what happened and rectify the situation.
Now, the moment you’ve been so patiently waiting for has arrived—
The NEXT Voluntaryist campaign is going live at the end of THIS MONTH!
I will be launching the next campaign, VOLUNTARYIST SUIT SAGA ONE, on October 29th.
If you want to be notified when it officially goes live, sign up for the Suit Saga pre-launch notification over at:
That short link will go to the campaign once it goes live. For now, it’s just the prelaunch page where you can sign up to be notified.
This is going to be one of the best campaigns yet because the canon Origins story is complete and we’re already ahead of schedule for creating the perks on this one.
We will be able to fulfill the campaign and move forward to the next even faster than before.
There will be some campaign-exclusive items including a RARE Origins II variant cover. Only 90 copies will be available, so be sure to pick it up with the ULTIMATE bundle once Suit Saga is launched.
In the meantime, if you have not previously read all of Voluntaryist Origins or have not gotten physical copies, make sure to do so at the following places:
The single issues of Origins I and II are still in queue to be posted, along with the trade paperback.
Hopefully, Indyplanet will get to them by the time this next campaign goes live.
On that note of things going live, my third nonfiction book has finally been published:
Philosophical Voluntaryism.
It’s a close to my libertarian-voluntaryist primer trilogy, and it takes you through the nuts and bolts of philosophical thinking through the lens of a voluntaryist mindset.
The cover is an incredible art piece featuring some great thinkers, which makes for an excellent display once you’ve finished reading.
You can pick up your own copy of that book over at:
This is the final update for this Origins VI campaign, so thank you again, everyone, for your generous support and trust in me, and for giving me the chance to take the Voluntaryist comic universe to new heights!
I would not have reached this next level of Voluntaryist success without you.
Let’s keep winning together and make the next arc even better!
It’s been a whirlwind of production time, but we’ve made it to the finish line this September– and that’s despite a hurricane!
All Voluntaryist perks for the Origins VI campaign have been officially shipped out!
WOOHOO!
This last set was the remaining Origins I-VI catchup perks and the trade paperback perks.
We managed to ship those last ones out4 months ahead of their expected December, 2023 delivery date!
I’m certainly impressed.
International backers should see their perks by or before the end of September with everyone else by or before the end of the first week of September.
The best part of this whole experience is seeing how BEAUTIFUL these print comics came out.
Don’t just believe me. Look for yourself here:
I LOVE seeing you get in your perks so, if willing, share a shot of your perk package delivered and I will gratefully repost it in thanks on social media whether you’re on Twitter (X), Facebooks, Minds, or Youtube!
If you do a review video/unboxing, I would love to share that as well! Feel free to share the link with me on social media or at mr.voluntary(at)gmail(dot)com.
And, I have even MORE great news!
The sneak peek for the next Voluntaryist arc, Suit Saga I, is live over at:
Hope you are doing well as we kick off this AWESOME month of AUGUST!
Why is it so awesome you may ask?
It’s SO AWESOME because all artwork for the remaster HAS BEEN COMPLETED!
We’ve finished the Origins I and II cover remasters and all interior sequential inks, colors, and letters!
Check out a little sneak peek from that progress here:
At the time of this writing, we’re conducting a final review of the pages, then sending the Origins comic digitals off to the printers!
WOOHOO!
It’s been an incredible year of working on this with 6 new comic covers and 112 new comic book pages produced! (Not to forget all the art prints made as well!)
With our final days before last fulfillment closing in, please be sure to update your address if you have already moved or will be moving come September, 2023.
Thank you to those who updated on Indiegogo already – your updates have been accounted for.
If you still need to update, learn how to do so by reading the Indiegogo page here:
In other great news, we just finished up our Break the Great Reset music video shoot in downtown Tampa! If you backed that campaign, you got a behind-the-scenes teaser e-mailed to you. We had a blast filming and cannot wait to share the music video with you once it’s out.
If you’re looking for some excitement in the meantime, be sure to check out our next event with Lou Perez!
Lou is coming to Florida to host a comedy show at the gun range! There are 3 separately ticketed events: The comedy show itself with a Lou photo opportunity. A range time on the pistol range with Lou. And, a VIP mixer after the range time. Both Pho and I will be there along with some other great friends, so consider joining us for an intimate night of laughs, loading, and lounging.
And, even if you cannot make it, but would like to sponsor the event, you certainly can with our ad sponsor option. Sponsors get a special “thank you” to our audience and their merchandise/flyer/business card given to ticket purchasers (as provided by sponsor).
It’s a great way to showcase your business to those who love liberty and want to support liberty-friendly businesses.
Thank you so much again everyone for staying up-to-date with Voluntaryist on this longer project window!
I cannot wait to show you what we’ve achieved together.
Hope you are doing well this July as the heat gets turned up a notch!
We are getting excitingly close to wrapping up the artwork on the Voluntaryist Origins remasters.
As of this writing, we are just 2 pages away from completing all pencils for the remaster and are working on the final pages’ inks, colors, and letters.
We are also down to the final cover remaster, the remaster for Origins I and the TPB wraparound.
Thank you to those who have taken the time to give us your updated address.
In other great news, Pho and I had an INCREDIBLE experience at Porcfest XX! We performed twice on the mainstage and gave a few talks. We also got to meet people for the first time who we’ve been long-time online friends with – an extra special treat!
I even caught sight of some Voluntaryist merch in the wild! Rich R. was wearing his limited-edition dye sublimation Voluntarist tee at the campground, so of course I had to get a picture with him:
And we took some pictures with some other liberty legends
Recognize any of them below?
Speaking of events, the next event we’ll be putting on is the Lou Perez comedy show and range time! This event has 3 separately ticketed elements: A comedy show and photo op with Lou Perez, a range shoot with Lou, and a VIP lounge hangout with Lou after.
Tickets and further details can be found on Eventbrite at:
Hope you’re having a great kick-off to the summer with June here.
We have GREAT news for Voluntaryist and other exciting things to let you know about.
Another round of perk fulfillment was completed last month thanks to our finishing the final art print needed to ship out perks up through the signed print comic tier. Those at the art print tier, signed comic tier, and full-page ad tier, had their comic perks shipped out several weeks ago. If for any reason you did not receive yours, please contact me at mr.voluntary(at)gmail(dot)com so I can check on what happened. I did see several people post pictures of their perk’s arrival, so I am happy to see that shipping went well overall.
We are now down to the BIG perk stages: The Origins I-VI series sets and the trade paperbacks.
At the time of this writing, we are 26 pages fully completed out of 38 through Origins II with pencils almost finished. The Origins II cover remaster is still in progress, along with the Origins I cover/TPB cover.
You can see some sneak peeks of that here:
Everything is looking good time-wise with a strong indication that we will have your perks out to you before the campaign-expected delivery of December, 2023.
And remember, we want to make sure that everyone gets their perks when it is time for delivery. If you will be moving come August, 2023, be sure to update your address through Indiegogo so that we can make sure your perk pack makes it to you. We don’t want anyone to have their package lost, so make sure to update us as soon as you’re certain you’re moving.
In other exciting news, both Pho and I will be performing our music at Porcfest XX this year, including the Break the Great Reset song! If you’re going to be in attendance, or are on the edge, come on out to see us! We will be singing at the mainstage pavilion (the PAV) on Tuesday, June 20th, from 6-7 p.m. We will also be performing a couple of songs for EMO NIGHT at the PAV thanks to the Emo Caucus on Thursday, June 22nd, at 8:45-9:15 p.m.
Along with our music, we have a few speaking engagements as well: One for the Libertarian Party tent from 2-3 p.m. on that same Tuesday, June 20th, and one on Wednesday, June 21st, at 1 p.m. for the Free State Project Liberty 101 seminar. Topics will include “Thinking Outside the State,” “Intro to Voluntaryism,” and “Finding Your Inspiration in Liberty.”
Speaking of performance, we also just released a NEW song called I WILL NOT TAKE THE SHOT. It’s an alternative rock song that’s sure to energize your spirit in resistance to forced medical experimentation.
Hope you’re having a great start to May as we’re finally getting warmer out there.
The Voluntaryist remaster production continues to go smoothly.
We’re in the final quarter of completion with just needing to finish out the colors and letters on the Issue 2 remaster and the Origins I and II covers.
Here’s a sneak peek from that progress:
Just a friendly reminder as we’re moving into the last leg that if you have moved, or are planning to move to a new address by August, 2023, you should be sure to log in and update your address so that I have the most current information.
A couple of you have already updated, and I appreciate that you took the time to do so so that your package does not get lost. Thank you!
In other good news, my second nonfiction book, A Vision for a Libertarian Future, has been released on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3VoG2R1
It’s a sequel to my first, The Definitive Guide to Libertarian Voluntaryism.
In this book, I bring a unified advocacy of incrementalism toward reducing the size, scope, and power of the state that I think everyone can get behind.
I would be honored if you checked it out and gave it a 5-star review – which I anticipate this book to be worthy of when you see how clear, concise, and cogent this advocacy is.
And if you haven’t read my first nonfiction book, be sure to pick that up on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3LvcT22
(affiliate)
so you’re ready to check out this new title!
I also want to remind you that we have our gun Range event and comedy show with Lou Perez coming up later this year on September 9th. Tickets and further details can be found at:
I also want to mention that I have a sequel title to my first nonfiction book coming out soon, A Vision for a Libertarian Future. It’s a practical policy advocacy of incrementalism for moving away from state control.
If you haven’t read my first book, be sure to pick that up on Amazon here: amzn.to/3RD6pPA
(affiliate)
so you’re ready for the next edition!
Looking forward to updating you on our next developments!
Hope you are doing well as we kick off the month of March.
We are marching right along schedule with the Voluntaryist remaster production!
The colors have just been wrapped on Origins I and we’ve already gotten in a few penciled pages for Origins II.
Here’s a little sneak peek from that progress:
I wanted to take a moment and thank Presearch for being a continued sponsor of Voluntaryist!
Presearch is a voluntaryist-owned search engine company worth checking out.
Not only do they provide a censorship-free search engine service that is privacy-oriented, but they have integrated ways for you to earn cryptocurrency rewards in the process!
They even do users a favor by listing one-click alternative search engine tabs so that, if for any reason you’re not satisfied with their results, you can immediately check the results in several other search engines.
Speaking of great things to check out, I will be headlining the Libertarian Party of Washington conference from March 24th-26th! Both Pho and I will be there as special guests with a special mixer taking place Friday night. It’s rare that we get over to that side of the country, so if you’re close enough to visit, consider coming on by to hang! We’d love to catch up with you.
Location, details, and tickets can be found on Eventbrite over at:
Hope you are doing well as we kick off the month of February.
It’s a relatively quiet time as we’re just moving along steadily with the Voluntaryist remasters. We’re about wrapped on the pencils for the Origins I remaster and are about to begin working on the pencils for Origins II.
The covers for Origins III, IV, and V have been making good progress with approvals having been completed on the layouts and pencils. Check out some of those cover progression sneak peeks here:
I figure now is a good a time as any to give you a heads-up on the other projects we’re working toward this year, especially, since we’ve fully wrapped up the ANTISTATE music video project.
Pho will be recording another anthem-styled song I wrote that’s tangential to the Mask Order and Disobey tracks. The title and subject is still under wraps, but we think you’re going to find the message inspiring and timely! So be sure to look out for when we release that new song, the album art, and its Indiegogo campaign for making our next music video. It’s going to be a project you’ll want to see succeed!
Pho and I also have exciting news to share as we will be some of the featured special guests at the Libertarian Party of Washington’s annual conference! While the details are not all settled yet, we can tell you that we will be at the conference’s activities from Friday, March 24th through Sunday, March 26th. The convention will be taking place at Sammamish Valley Grange in Woodinville, Washington. More details will eventually be released on the LPWA Website at: https://lpwa.org/ and we will also let you know more as everything is finalized in next month’s Voluntaryist update. It would be awesome to see you there, so if you’re close enough for a visit, come on out!
We will also be general attendees at PorcFest XX in New Hampshire. We’ve always wanted to visit this legendary liberty meetup, so we figured what better time to do it than for the big 20th anniversary! Tickets and details for that event can be found at https://porcfest.com/ if you’re thinking about going too.
And lastly, we’d like to thank our sponsor Agorist Nexus for their longtime Voluntaryist support! Agorist Nexus is a great resource for thinking outside the state as they showcase off-grid living tactics, cryptocurrency reviews and suggestions, and host an Agorist business listing directory.
Fun Agorist Nexus fact: We also recorded a funky promotional song for them a few years back. You can give it a listen on YouTube here:
and get a sense of what they’re all about.
Looking forward to updating you next month with more details on the Voluntaryist comic and on our other projects and excursions!
Stay awesome,
J ( :
P.S. If you made it this far, I have a bonus sneak peek for you. I am currently working on my AnCap Comix publishing and publicity site at: https://ancapcomix.com/
It’s going to be a site featuring liberty-oriented creators in the comic, graphic novel, and fictional novel space, as well as the umbrella identity for the Voluntaryist comic universe. (You may have already noticed this brand on the bottom right corners of the Voluntaryist Origins comic books.) In addition, I’m building a mentorship community to help you if you’re trying to create your own work of fiction in the comic book or printed novel genre. This is a soft-launch sneak peek, so be sure to check out all the pages on the Website and subscribe to the newsletter if you’d like to hear more when we formally launch!
And what’s great about kicking off this new year is that I have received the print copies of Voluntaryist Origins VI!
Boy, do they look BEAUTIFUL!
Many of you have even already received your print copy if your perk was at the game card tier or lower.
Print comic perks at the game card level and below were mailed out on December 19th. If you have not received your print comic yet, please message me at mr.voluntary(at)gmail.com and I will see if your order was lost in the mail and replace it if so. (If you’re an international backer, it may still take another week or 2 with all the holiday busyness.)
As for the rest of the perks at the Art Tier print level and higher, those are still pending as we’re working through the Origins I and II remasters, the I-V cover remasters, and the final art print.
We are doing great schedule-wise as the promised delivery date is December, 2023. (That’s right – in case you forgot – getting the digital copy of Origins VI and the early print shipments are 1 FULL year ahead of promised delivery date. I hope you’re as impressed as I am!)
We are moving as fast as we can to deliver the rest of the perks well-ahead of the promised date, especially so, because we want to be able to launch the next Voluntaryist Arc campaign, SUIT SAGA, in 2023. And we won’t do that until ALL perks on this Origins VI campaign have been shipped.
To give you a sense of where we’re at, at the time of this writing we’ve:
Completed and have in our hands the Origins VI print comics.
Completed and have in our hands all perk accessories except the $75 tier art print.
Shipped out all perks at the Game Card tier and below.
Penciled 39 pages of the Origins I remaster.
Colored 32 pages of the Origins I remaster.
Lettered 32 pages of the Origins I remaster. (that’s me)
Got the Origins III, IV, and V comic remasters in production.
PRETTY impressive considering that we normally only have a single comic issue each year of about 24 pages. By summer 2023, we will have completed in 1 year what amounts to 4 comic book creations in total page counts. A record feat!
Stay tuned for when we do our next batch of perk fulfillments as we increment toward total project completion.
And speaking of completion, we would not have been able to achieve as much as we did if not for our ROCKSTAR executive advertisement sponsor, Victoria King.
Victoria has been an early believer in Voluntaryist and our other projects, and wanted to see the Origins Remaster and trade paperback come to fruition – so she went the extra mile on this campaign.
She wants you to check out her book Dear Younger Me, Victim To Victor: A Memoir, as it’s her life’s memoir about overcoming an abusive relationship. She wrote it to help inspire others and bring them healing.
If you’re looking for something unique to help challenge your thinking on relationships, pick up a copy of her book here:
in special thanks to her for helping this campaign reach goal in record time!
Thank you Victoria, and everyone else here, for your generous support and social media shoutouts! It makes me feel good to see you get your perks in the mail.
And on that note of feeling good–
My and The Pholosopher’s ANTISTATE music video is now live!
This is one of the COOLEST music videos we’ve created, so be sure to check it out, subscribe, and share it around as we continue to shift the culture toward a true respect of Voluntaryist virtues!
Looking forward to sharing another Voluntaryist development with you next month!
In liberty,
-J ( :
P.S. I’ve been trying to up my review count for Voluntaryist on Amazon Kindle. If you have some credits and would be willing to give an official review, I would greatly appreciate it!
I have some exciting news for you – Christmas just came early!
The digital release of Voluntaryist Origins VI has been sent to the e-mail you used on the Origins VI campaign if you backed it.
The download link will only work for a week’s time, so don’t delay in getting your EARLY digital download of Issue 6!
We’re still diligently working on the remasters and additional art pieces, so stay tuned for further details in the coming year as we finish Origins I and II and print out your comic perks.
And, speaking of Christmas, if you’re looking for a great gift for that liberty-loving friend or family member, Libertarian Country is the place to shop!
Libertarian Country is an ad sponsor of Origins VI and, in thanks to you, the backers, for supporting this comic issue, they are offering you an additional 10 percent off with their discount code:
COMIC
They have t-shirts, hats, hoodies, stickers, canvas prints, posters, and mugs!
Their wide variety of liberty-oriented merch is sure to bring a smile on Christmas!
So go give them a look and see what you can pick up with our special Voluntaryist discount code over at:
We are working diligently on the Voluntaryist remasters and bonus art with everything going according to plan so far.
To show you a more in-depth look at what we’re doing with the remaster, I made a little video covering what we’re changing as we update Origins I and II to have the same art style as the rest of the series.
I think you’ll be impressed at how much better the sequential pages look with the new inks, colors, and lettering!
And, speaking of improving, if you want to improve your portfolio diversification, I highly recommend checking out one of our Voluntaryist Origins VI sponsors, Taggart Trading!**
Taggart Trading deals in bullion, rare coins, and precious metals, which are especially important to consider holding on to in these inflationary times!
Taggart Trading’s owner Marc Tancer is not only a friend, but I can personally recommend his services as I have used them time and again over the years.
What’s unique about Marc is that he’s not just some large corporate chain where you’re dealing with a series of intermediaries. Marc is both the expert and the executive and offers you personalized service whether you’re looking to just break into precious metals for the first time or want to order large quantities.
I have all good news to share as we have fully completed the colors and lettering for the Origins VI standalone issue and all final advertisement placements have come in.
That said, we are still diligently working on the rest of the project goals, from remastering Origins I and II to the additional art pieces that come with perk packages.
On that note of additional art pieces, one of the artists for those pieces is Aimée McLernon.
Aimée McLernon is an incredibly talented, multi-media artist and graphic designer whose professionalism and unique style places her as one of my favorite artists of all time.
She also happens to be one of the ad sponsors of this issue and, with that, is offering her creative talents for your illustration needs, from comic art to graphic design, to even 2D animation!
So, if you’re looking for someone to help you create a logo, put together a beautiful flier, or conceptualize a character for your own comic project, give her services a look.
She comes personally recommended as I can attest to her skills and professionalism from my own work with her on Voluntaryist.
And see for yourself her beautiful portfolio. Plus, she also has her own comic book series you can scope out called Reality Hackers – a psychological thriller of the cyberpunk genre.
Looking forward to updating you next month on the latest Voluntaryist Origins progress!
In liberty,

P.S.
Our ANTISTATE music video campaign ends TONIGHT, Saturday, Oct. 1st! If you’ve ever wanted to see your name in the credits of an AWESOME music video, or be an executive producer to one, make sure to head on over and check out those perks so we can make this music video the best one yet!
I am excited to share with you nothing but GOOD NEWS as we’re moving along expediently with the Origins VI TPB campaign production.
We have completed all inks on Origins VI and are onto the coloring stage.
We have also started working on the Origins I remaster pencils and have been improving those layouts so that there is plenty of breathing room for the speech bubbles – something I have wanted to improve for a long time. SO, THANK YOU for giving me this opportunity to make the series perfected and uniform!
I have a couple of sneaks peeks to share with you from our production including a colored Lumbertarian sketch from the character turn, an inked panel, an Origins I remastered pencils page, and a draft layout from the Archist game card!
To the advertisers – thank you so much for most all of you getting to me your advertisement placements.
If you have an outstanding advertisement, be sure get back to me a.s.a.p. with your proof or reach out to me if you’re struggling to get something put together. I can assist with basic graphics if needed – BUT – I do need to get those proofs in as soon as possible so I can review it to make sure your ad will fit for form and appropriateness and, if needed, work with you to adjust. I sent out reminder messages, so check your inbox if you did not already confirm your final ad spot with me.
The e-mail I sent that from is mr.voluntary(at)gmail.com If your ad is not sent for proofing and confirmed with me by the end of this month, I will sadly have to cancel your advertisement perk and refund you entirely. I don’t want to have to do that, but I do have to set a hard deadline to make sure I can print the comics according to schedule.
And on that note of advertisers, I would like to thank Punk Rock Libertarians Podcast for their support on this Origins VI comic! The guys there have a great show and I have even been a guest on it myself.
It’s a song getting people to think outside the state with an alternative rock meets electronica sound.
This is a special opportunity because a director we’ve known for years is giving us a hook-up to shoot this video in New York City so we can use the environment to craft an artistic, dystopian feel to match the sound of the song.
In support of this project, we’re offering some unique perks where you can be listed as an executive producer or have your name/business mentioned in the credits.
It’s a cool way to take part in the project and get yourself some PRIME-TIME LIMELIGHT!
So, if you would please, head on over to the ANTISTATE campaign page and check out what ways you can get involved.
And as always, even if you don’t have change to spare right now, a campaign share to your social media is GREATLY appreciated to get the word out. The more eyes we can get on the project, the more of a chance we have to reach goal and get some publicity for our liberty message!
AND, if we DO hit goal, we are planning to host a meetup in NYC for ANTISTATE campaign supporters, likely, at a PHO restaurant. It’s a fun way to connect with everyone over food while sharing our love for liberty and creative production.
Thank you so much for your continued support, everyone!
Looking forward to sharing the next progress update with you on Voluntaryist Origins VI in October!
Hope you are having a great start to your week with August kicking off!
I wanted to update you on the progress of the comic and let you know that everything is going smoothly!
We’ve already finished the pencils on Origins VI, in part, because I had been working on them even before the campaign started and, in other part, because our primary penciller has prioritized working on Voluntaryist, helping us get more pages completed sooner than expected.
The pencils for Origins VI are already off to the inker/colorist and are being worked on right now with an expected completion by or before the end of September.
Once those inks and colors wrap, they will then come back to me so I can lay down the lettering.
To celebrate this milestone, I am sharing with you a sneak peek from the Origins VI pencils and one from the art prints!
Pretty cool, huh?
A quick reminder to our advertisement sponsors – please be sure to submit your ads for review by or before Wednesday, August 24th, so we can have a chance to check over them and make sure they’re good-to-go for both specs and fit.
You can send that proof to mr.voluntary(at)gmail(dot)com.
And on that note of our ad sponsors, I will be thanking each sponsor as we go through our updates!
Up first, I would like to thank Kirk of CJRoasting.com for his generous support on both this campaign and on our I DID NOT CONSENT music video. Kirk owns a coffee bean company at https://cjroasting.com/selling organic and fair-trade coffee.
So if you’re looking to try something new while supporting those who care about individual liberty, give CJ Roasting a try!
He has a variety of blends, from light roast to dark roast.
And thank you everyone here for helping us continue to succeed.
We’ve seen a bump in Voluntaryist comic interest on the heels of Eric July’s RIPPAVERSE comic universe launch, so these are some exciting times for the alternative comic book world!
Looking forward to updating you soon on our next developments.
In celebration of Eric July’s success, I have made this fan art of Isom from the Rippaverse with Voluntaryist of AnCap Comix. It’s incredible to see how far Eric has come with his work and how much he is paving the way for an exit from the SJW statist paradigm for both comic fans and comic creators.
I am looking forward to seeing more fan art submissions for the Rippaverse campaign 400K stretch goal.
Be sure to support the Rippaverse Isom No. 1 campaign before close at https://rippaverse.com There are tons of great ways to get involved with the campaign, from comics, to posters, to hats and shirts.
I am happy to announce that the second stretch goal is officially UNLOCKED!
WOOOOOO!
Everyone at the print comic book tier and higher will now be receiving a new game card prototype in addition to the bonus character sheet from passing stretch goal No. 1 along with the bonus sticker for reaching goal.
So again, if you are currently supporting at a tier lower than the print comic, you’re definitely going to want to upgrade now to reap the bonus perks as you’ll be getting not one, not two, BUT THREE bonus items!
And, on top of that, we’re going to be making variant covers for Origins IV and V for a mainstream appeal.
As we still have about a week to go, there’s plenty of time to unlock stretch goal number 3 to add another bonus item to your perk packages.
Getting there is as simple as everyone sharing the comic campaign here:
to their social media and letting others know what we’re doing. The more awareness, the more of a chance we have to gain support and reach a record-breaking accomplishment that will set the Voluntaryist series up as a serious competitor in the alternative comic book space.
We’re also doing our part to get the word out and have been promoting Voluntaryist on a number of shows and will be doing even more this upcoming week.
If you want to listen to some of our recent interviews, you can here:
Thank you again, everyone, for your generous support.
This 10th anniversary is groundbreaking for the series, and I genuinely believe this trade paperback compendium is going to put Voluntaryist on the map, especially in the ComicsGate community.
On that note, we will soon be announcing an official time for our campaign end livestream next week, but it will likely be Thursday, June 30th, around 9 p.m. Eastern on The Pholosopher YouTube channel.
So be sure to join in with us then as we celebrate with you and close in on that 3rd stretch goal!
If you would please, head on over to the campaign page and grab yourself an AMAZING perk in support of the FINAL ISSUE in the Voluntaryist Origins arc.
This campaign is extra special as it’s the 10th Anniversary for Voluntaryist – The Comic Series.
In light of that special occasion, we’re also remastering issues 1 and 2 and brining the entire series into a special trade paperback!
Even if you don’t have change to spare, you can help us get the word out by sharing the campaign link here:
The Origins V comic came in a bit earlier than expected with the delays over at the printer, as you can see here:
They are out, in my hands, and looking AMAZING!
I will be working on fulfillment over the next month.
I am still waiting on one final stretch goal art piece to be finished so I can add it to your perk packages, but once that is in, they should be out to you shortly.
If all goes well, Christmas should come early for Voluntaryist Origins V backers!
If you are moving from your listed address by December, please do update your address with me through the Indiegogo dashboard or by contacting me with your perk information from Indiegogo at mr.voluntary(at)gmail.com
I want to make sure everyone gets what they ordered!
Thank you again as always for your generous support.
